Basanite is a volcanic stone that may contain inclusions of other types of Stone. This is what makes each individual item unique. The color of the Stone varies from light gray to light green to dark green. Over the years a beautiful patina forms on the stone. The items are manually carved from a block by the stonemason. Minor chips from processing the stone are possible.

Basanite is resilient and frost-proof.
