Are you looking for an extraordinary Buddha figure? This work of art is carved from a block of lava stone by stonemasons in Java. The stonemason has to prove great skill with this stone figure. The Buddha is slightly recessed in the stone, so the stonemason has very little space to carve out the figure. Despite the fact that the Buddha is relatively small, the outlines are worked out in great detail.
The stone block is naturally finished on the outside, i.e. relatively roughly hammered out and not polished. This gives the stone figure a natural appearance.
Size: About 40 cm long, 40 cm high and 20 cm deep. The size of the Buddha in the stone is about 25 cm.
The Buddha can stand outside all year round, the lava stone (basanite) is frost-proof and weatherproof.
